Two Grades We Grow and Sell
Our 47-hectare garden produces two types of black tea. CTC for strong morning chai with milk, and Orthodox for drinking without milk. Both come from same tea plants, difference is in how we process the leaves after picking.
CTC Grade
Crush, Tear, Curl method. Leaves go through rotating blades. Makes small granules that brew fast and strong. This is what most Indian tea shops sell. 95% of our production is CTC.
Orthodox Grade
Traditional rolling method. Leaves stay mostly whole. Needs longer brewing time but has more complex flavor. Takes more work to make, so price is higher. Only 5% of our production.

Started with 12 hectares near Brahmaputra river. Worked as tea taster in Guwahati for 8 years before buying this land. Built the first processing shed in 1989. Added 20 more hectares in 1995. Taught us everything about recognizing quality leaves by touch and smell.

Joined full-time after agriculture degree from Jorhat. Expanded to current 47 hectares. Installed new CTC machines in 2008. Set up Orthodox processing line in 2012. Manages all production and quality control. Deals with Guwahati Tea Auction when we sell through that channel.
